Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 takes aim on store shelves today

As much as I love sniping random players from ridiculous distances on DayZ, it’s not too often we get a semi-realistic sniping experience coming across our screens of choice. If you’re looking for a reason to pick up a sniper rifle today, then you will be pleased to hear that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is available right now on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Powered by CryENGINE 3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 takes you on a journey across real world locations, pits you against advanced AI and uses realistic physics to provide a realistic sniping experience. CI Games has also announced that some free multiplayer DLC is on the way, which will include two new maps and a brand new game mode.

PC gamers can also look forward to an update that will allow those with big rigs to enjoy DirectX 11 support. Shame it’s not there at launch, but at least it is coming.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will cost $79.95 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and $69.95 for PC gamers. This is store shelf prices however, so if you’re looking for a deal we suggest you search around online.
