The action platformer has you collecting various gems which, in turn, increases your health bar. Get hit by an enemy and you’ll lose some of your treasure/health in the process, not unlike Sonic dropping his rings. Local and online co-op will be included for the 3DS launch, with the possibility of the game making the jump to Wii U or PSVita in the near future.
Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham, who’s no stranger to Twitter, very nicely let slip the news of a December launch the other day, to which many journos have since pounced on. But it should be noted the word ‘hoping’ was mentioned, so there’s always a chance the game may slip to 2014 (fingers crossed that isn’t the case).
Despite all that, Treasurenauts has just been cleared for release buy the US ratings board, ESRB, and you can expect to play it on your 3DS via the eShop. No price has been confirmed just yet, though Watsham expects it to be around the same price as Mutant Mudds, Renegade Kid’s breakout hit.
