Awesomenauts, the awesome 2D side-scrolling MOBA from Ronimo Games, has just dropped a major update which showcases some of the upcoming features from the Kickstarter funded Awesomenauts: Starstorm DLC.
One month after the Awesomenauts: Starstorm campaign was successfully funded, patch 1.24 injects the promised customisable private matches for everyone playing the game. They have also dropped in Team Deathmatch, and entirely new game mode. This is just the first taste of the Awesomenauts: Starstorm DLC, with many changes and improvements coming in future updates.
Don’t get used to the free content however. In the future only Kickstarter backers of the Awesomenauts: Starstorm campaign, or those who buy the DLC from Steam, will have access to the new content. That new content adds five new characters, a new map, a full featured replay system and most importantly, a spectator mode.
Finally all of the Awesomenauts: Starstorm features will be included in the PS4 version of the game, aptly called Awesomenauts: Assemble!. It will cost the same price as the game on Steam, $9.99.
I’m a huge fan of Ronimo’s brand of MOBA, so I cannot wait to get my hands on the DLC.
